Register Interest & Check Eligibility
2 minutes. Free. Non-binding.
What registration of interest (Daftar Minat) is, and what it is not
Registration of interest, called Daftar Minat in Malay, is how you tell RumahHQ that you are looking for a new landed home, where, and roughly what you can afford. It comes before a project is launched and before any price is announced. It is the first step in RumahHQ's demand-first approach: we open a project for sale only when enough qualified buyers have registered.
| Daftar Minat is | Daftar Minat is not |
|---|---|
| Free. No payment of any kind is charged. | A purchase, a reservation or an agreement to buy. |
| Non-binding. You can stop at any time by telling us. | A promise that a particular unit, lot or price will be kept for you. |
| A way to tell us your preferred district, house type, number of bedrooms and timing. | A financing application. Your loan is applied for separately, after launch. |
| A chance to have your eligibility checked early, if you ask for it. | A decision on your eligibility by LPPSA or a bank. |
| A way to hear first when a project launches. | An advertisement for sale. Sales information comes only after the advertising and sales permit (APDL) is obtained. |
Why is no payment taken? Because the law does not allow it. Regulation 11(2) of the Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Regulations 1989, as amended in 2015, says no person, including parties acting as stakeholders, may collect any payment by whatever name called except as prescribed by the contract of sale. For a landed home under the Schedule G sale and purchase agreement (SPA), the first payment is only due when the SPA is signed. If anyone asks you to pay to "secure" a RumahHQ home before launch, do not pay, and tell us through Aiman on WhatsApp.
What happens after you register
- 1. You send the form Your details reach us securely. You will see a confirmation page.
- 2. Aiman contacts you on WhatsApp Aiman, our AI assistant on WhatsApp, confirms your details and answers your questions.
- 3. Pre-qualification If you asked for help, our sales and LPPSA team helps you understand your financing options with LPPSA or a bank, so you know early whether you are likely to qualify.
- 4. The launch decision A project launches only when registrations from qualified buyers reach at least 1.5 times the number of homes, and the developer licence and APDL for that project or phase are in place.
- 5. Choosing a unit at launch Registered buyers are told about the launch first. Prices, available units and how units are chosen are announced at launch.
- 6. Signing the SPA The binding step. For a landed home under Schedule G, 10% of the price is payable on signing, and the rest is paid in stages as construction is certified. You then apply for your LPPSA or bank financing.
Example: what "1.5 times" means
Imagine a hypothetical phase of 40 homes. It needs at least 60 registrations from buyers who have passed pre-qualification (40 × 1.5 = 60) before it launches. More qualified buyers than homes means the homes are far more likely to be sold, and a project that sells is a project that gets finished. If only 45 qualified registrations come in, the phase waits: nobody pays, nobody signs, and registration stays open.
Daftar Minat vs signing the SPA
| Question | Daftar Minat | Signing the SPA |
|---|---|---|
| When | Before launch, while approvals are in progress | After launch, once the developer licence and APDL are in place |
| Payment | None | 10% of the price on signing, then stage payments within 30 days of each certified notice |
| Binding? | No | Yes, it is a contract regulated by Act 118 |
| Unit and price | No unit is reserved and no price is given | A specific unit at a stated price |
| If you change your mind | Tell us; nothing is owed | The SPA terms apply. For example, if you default, 10% of the price is forfeited; if your loan fails because of income ineligibility and you show proof, you pay only 1% and the rest is refunded |
| Information you give | Contact details and ranges only, no IC number or exact salary | Full identity and financing documents |
| Main law | Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended), for your data | Act 118 and the Schedule G form in the 1989 Regulations |
What data we collect, and why
We ask only for what we need to contact you, understand the home you want and, if you ask, help check your eligibility. Income and commitments are asked as ranges, not exact figures, and we never ask for your IC number on this website.
| What we ask | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Name, phone/WhatsApp number, email (optional) | So Aiman and our team can contact you about your registration. |
| Employment sector | Financing routes differ: LPPSA is for civil servants, while others use bank loans. |
| Preferred districts, house type, bedrooms and when you want to move | To count demand for each area and type of home, which decides what we plan and launch. |
| Only if you tick "help checking my financing eligibility": household income range, monthly commitments range, previous LPPSA loan and age range | To give an early, rough view of your eligibility (an estimate only). If you do not tick it, we do not ask. |
| Your consent | Required by law before we process your personal data. The consent box is mandatory. |
We share your data with LPPSA or our panel banks (CIMB Bank, Maybank) only with your consent and only for your financing application. Service providers that run our website, forms, records and WhatsApp messaging process it on our instructions. We do not sell personal data. You can ask to access or correct your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. The full details are in our Privacy Notice.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Choosing an income range that is higher than your real income. It only makes the early estimate wrong.
- Leaving out monthly commitments such as car or personal loans. They affect how much financing you qualify for.
- Assuming registration means you have a unit. It does not; units are chosen at launch.
- Paying anyone who says they can reserve a RumahHQ unit before launch.
- Ignoring the WhatsApp message from Aiman. That is how we confirm your registration.
What to have ready
- Your phone number that has WhatsApp.
- Your rough household income and monthly commitments (ranges are enough).
- The districts and type of home you prefer.
- If you are a civil servant, whether you have had an LPPSA loan before.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay anything to register interest?
No. Registration of interest is free and non-binding, no unit is reserved and no payment is charged at any point before the SPA.
Does registering mean I will get a home?
No. It means you hear about the launch first. Prices, available units and how units are chosen are announced at launch, and you decide then whether to buy.
When will the project launch?
Only when registrations from qualified buyers reach at least 1.5 times the number of homes and the developer licence and advertising and sales permit are in place. We do not announce a launch date before then.
Is my eligibility check a loan approval?
No. It is an early, rough view to help you plan. Only LPPSA or a bank can approve financing, after you apply.
Can I cancel my registration?
Yes, at any time. Tell Aiman on WhatsApp or contact us. You can also withdraw your consent to our use of your data.
Why do you ask for ranges and not my exact salary?
Ranges are enough for an early estimate, and collecting less data protects you. Exact documents are only needed later, when you apply for financing.
Ready? The form at the top of this page takes about 2 minutes.
